Welcome
Here you will find tons of information on my house if you are thinking about renting it.
This house is straw bale construction, built by my self (plus many others!) in 2009. The thick walls (18″) filled with straw provide excellent comfort both in summer and winter.
The property is 8.5 acres of typical Canadian shield. Mostly forest and rocks and rugged terrain, and is on a small lake.
The lake is excellent for swimming. It is small, but clean. No zebra mussels, no motor boats, no seadoos. It’s 80 feet deep at it’s deepest point with a few bays and connects to another lake through a shallow passage. Canoeing or kayaking is popular.
There is a dock at the lake with ample area for groups and swimming. The access to the water is from the dock via jumping, diving or down a ladder. Access from the shore is possible, but not recommended due to the rocky bottom. The shorefront faces southwest so there is full sun on the dock from 11 to 5 in the summer.
